StartNest is a coworking space for startups and freelancers in Sydney’s North Shore.

StartNest is more than just a shared office. As a passionate community StartNest helps members collaborate and provides access to high level business education via events and a vast network of supporting partners and ecosystem players.

Why coworking works



Working with different people constantly has the ability to inspire. Every coworker has a story to share that can impact others. Working with other people especially from diverse backgrounds is the engine of often unexpected ideas, which we know as “inspiration”. This inspiration lets new ideas flourish and serve as an important factor to generate innovation.


In comparison to a home office, we are much more motivated if we are able to separate work life and private life. Coworkers report an enhanced interaction with other people and a strong feeling of productivity and motivation when working from a coworking space.


Productivity increases in coworking spaces. At home or in a cafe, many distractions from flatmates, animals, family members or other café customers can destroy productivity. It is a fact that one can work more concentrated and be more calm in a focused environment.

Full Time

$450 / mth (ex GST)

  • 7 days per week
  • 24 hr access
  • As a full member, you have your own desk and 24h access to the office.

Part Time

$250 / mth (ex GST)

  • 3 days per week
  • 8:30am – 5:30pm access
  • You can use a flexible desk three times a week within our office hours.


$20 / mth (ex GST)

  • 5 & 10 day passes ($200/$380)
  • 8:30am – 5:30pm access
  • Become a casual member to get our day passes at a great discount.

Single Day Pass

$50 / day (ex GST)

  • Visit for one day
  • 8:30am – 5:30pm access
  • With our day pass, you can work on one of our flexible desks for day.

What does the $20 casual membership include?

As a casual member, you enjoy all our perks excluding a desk or the usage of meeting rooms. If you want to use a desk or a meeting room, you can buy a single day pass. 5 or 10 day passes are available at a big discount and can be redeemed in a 3-month-period.

How does the 24/7 access work?

We have swiping cards for our full time members. You can enter the office whenever you feel like working.

Can I leave my own screen on the desk?

Only if you are a full-time member, you can leave your screen on your permanent desk. Since you do not have a designated desk as non fulltime member, it is not possible to leave your stuff at the end of a working day.

Can I bring business partners to the office?

Yes. You can meet your business partners or clients in the meeting rooms.

What events and workshops do you offer?

Every two weeks, we host meetups with well-known entrepreneurs at StartNest. Additionally, workshops covering important topics like pitching, government funding, growth strategy or social marketing are offered to our members.

How fast is the internet?

We have a Bonded DSL service (2 DSL links put together, 40mps down)

Do I have to pay an additional fee to use the meeting rooms?

No, use of the meeting rooms is free for our members. You can book the rooms online in advance. We have two meeting rooms and a training room available.

What other benefits do you offer your members?

Additionally to continuous mentoring, workshops and access to investors and partners, there are community lunches, after-work beers on Fridays and free or discounted entry to workshops held at StartNest. Also StartNest can be used as mailing address.

Can everybody become a member of the StartNest community?

No. Our community consists of tech focused startups and freelancers. If you are unsure whether you fit in or not, there is no better way to find out than contacting us. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
